SOUTH OF FRANCE

An odd occurrence happened last week. Someone sent me 10 postcards - from the 1960s - from France - each showing cacti gardens on the Cote d'Azur. The mystery is that I've no idea why they were sent to me. Perhaps someone matched Cacti and postcards on some search engine and came up with me? No one I know has admitted putting them on to me - so whoever my benefactor is - a big thank you - I shall add them to my collection of stamps/postcards showing cacti/succulents.
I present them below because I find them interesting - they are all growing (well) out of doors and open to the elements - I can only assume it is very dry in the South of France though I've never been there. Anyone know if these gardens still exist?
The dates in brackets show when the postcard was sent (for the used ones)
